Punit Bhatia is an award-winning privacy and AI strategist with global experience advising CXOs and Data Protection Officers (DPOs) in over 30 countries. He specializes in identifying and managing privacy and AI risks, and in designing and implementing effective data and privacy strategies in cloud-based, AI-driven environments.
He is the author of four books, including “Be Ready for GDPR” and “AI & Privacy”, and is a recognized global speaker, having delivered talks at over 70 international events. Punit is also the creator and host of the FIT4Privacy Podcast, consistently ranked among the top GDPR podcasts from 2020 to 2023 and awarded the #1 spot in the 2024 People’s Choice Awards for privacy podcasts.
Known for his ability to explain complex topics in clear, business-friendly language, Punit holds multiple certifications, including Fellow in Information Privacy (FIP), CIPP/E, CIPM, CDPO, COP, and ISO 27701 Lead Implementer.
He is the founder and CEO of FIT4PRIVACY, a trade name of Ek Advisory BV. Punit currently serves on the boards of ISACA Belgium, the Global AI Association, and the DPO Circle. He is also a member of the Forbes Business Council and the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). Previously, he was a board member of World Game Changers.
